This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing modules.
You can drag and and drop to rearrange.
You can edit modules to customize them.
The left side has modules you can add!
Some modules you can only access when you get a subscription.
Some modules have options that are only available when you get a subscription.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain modules can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Get a website and get networking Also, in terms of your own work make sure your artwork is in some way unique. There are too many people out there doing the same thing. Are you planning on staying in Stoke after uni?
Nup, I'll probably be moving back to Manchester. Well for the short term at least. Its where home is, and i figure its a little better for business than stoke.
N yeah i know my artwork isnt exactly mega distinguishable or anything but ive only really just started doing it. Aaaaaaaaaand website ill do when i have the time after my course lol.
Stoke's getting a bit more attention recently as a place to start up creative businesses, especially as the city's getting a big revamp.
Otherwise, everything else artwise is going great. Planning some work for ArtsFest at the mo and also a few gallery exhibitions. Word of mouth is the best marketing tool you can have I was talking to Selina about building a portfolio website yesterday. Check out this tutorial I wrote [link]
Ahh nice tutorial, i really need to get on that lol. One thing that always crosses my mind is wether using Oobze as my name is a good idea or not, or wethr i should roll with the more traditional MIKE NEWTON lol.
Umm, well ive kinda decided in my head i wanna be working as a general designer n just be building up an illustrative portfolio on the side or something n see where it goes. But i mean, like i said i'd love to go into the world of vinyl n stuff cos there are some great artists there, and i just think having a range of toys out would be cool. Only problem is how i get there. I guess just building up a reputation n then doing some customs or something...
Network! Srsly, it's probably the best thing you can do to get work. I've found so much new work just through word of mouth! Get yourself to gallery openings and go straight to the people in charge!
Also, about the name: if you feel it represents you and your work go for it! I've stuck with Hellocatfood for years now.
